Meals For Growth is a non-profit committed to ending food insecurity for young parents in the Greater Toronto Area. The client wanted to create a brand identity that encompassed the core aspects of the non-profit's mission of helping young parents with food insecurity in the community. Their approach combines immediate relief with sustainable solutions, fostering a community where every young parent has access to nutritious food, unwavering support, and the tools needed to build a healthy and stable future. Central to their mission is hosting a weekly Community Table, providing free lunches, educational activities for children, and collaborating with local food banks to amplify their impact.
Our task included creating a brand that appealed to young parents (aged 18-25) facing food insecurity, as well as donors and community stakeholders that may be interested in supporting the organization and fostering lucrative partnerships with other organizations in the community.
As a team, we focused on creating a bright, accessible, and colourful brand identity reflective of the playfulness of children and youth. We wanted the brand to uplift young parents and children in difficult situations while simultaneously attracting the attention of the general public and decided to incorporate playful doodles, a bright primary based colour palette and rounded design elements as the key points in the completed brand identity.
Deliverables included: logo design, brand identity guidelines, one poster to advertise the community table event, three social media templates, and merchandise design.
